A private passenger bus traveling from Colombo to Passara reportedly veered off the road at the 10th mile post area in Passara earlier today (11), leaving 13 passengers injured.

According to reports, the accident took place due to the driver reportedly falling asleep at the wheel, causing the bus to slide off the road.

The injured passengers were promptly admitted to the District Hospital Passara for treatment.
