CEB employees who applied for the Voluntary Retirement Scheme(VRS) have written to Minister of Energy Kumara Jayakody over delays in gazetting the appointed date for CEB restructuring.

They stated that retirement dates were confirmed by the Power Sector Reforms Secretariat but the required gazette has not been issued.

The employees requested the gazette to be issued by February 1 and permission to be released from service.
