After six years, Sri Lanka’s National Border Management Committee (NBMC) reconvened on 30 May under Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha.

The committee's revival, backed by Australia, Canada, and the IOM, aims to enhance national security and economic growth through improved border management.
