The Cabinet has approved the Finance Commission’s recommendations on allocating resources to Provincial Councils for the 2026 national budget, as mandated under Article 154 of the Constitution.

The Finance Commission submitted guidelines to the President on distributing capital funds and adjusting recurrent expenditure for all Provincial Councils established under the 13th Amendment.

Following this, the President presented a proposal to submit these recommendations to Parliament in accordance with Article 154R(7). 

The move ensures the implementation of the Commission’s advised funding framework for the upcoming budget year.
