Former IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon will be produced before the Matara Magistrate’s Court today (20).

The court is expected to announce its decision on his bail application at 2:00 p.m.

Tennakoon surrendered to the court yesterday (19) after evading arrest for 20 days over a 2023 shooting incident in Weligama.

Following his surrender, he was remanded and transferred to Angunakolapelessa Prison under special security.
