Team Sri Lanka secured a total of five medals, including two golds, at the Dubai 2026 World Para Athletics Grand Prix and the 17th Fazza International Open Championship held from 6 to13 February.
WAJD Wickramasingha won gold in the women’s 100m T46/47 (12.88 sec) and long jump T47 (5.25 m).
In men’s events, SMASM Subasinghe earned two silver medals in the 400m T47 (50.86 sec) and 100m T47 (11.29 sec), while DDBH Fernando took silver in the long jump T46/47 (6.49 m).
The medal tally of two golds and three silvers marked a strong showing for Sri Lanka in international para athletics.
