A progress review meeting on the renovation of the Pettah Bus Terminal was held today(03) at the Ministry of Defence, chaired by Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd).

The project is being carried out by the Sri Lanka Air Force under the national Clean Sri Lanka programme.

The Defence Secretary noted that construction quality, safety standards and timelines must be strictly maintained while minimising disruption to passengers.

Officials stated the upgraded terminal will include better utilities, waste management, lighting and ventilation, and is expected to ease congestion and improve commuter facilities once completed.
