Sri Lanka and Ukraine are committed to strengthening their bilateral relationship, following a phone call yesterday(18) between Sri Lanka's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arun Hemachandra, and his Ukrainian counterpart, Mariana Betsa.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two officials discussed the warm cooperation between their countries in bilateral and multilateral forums, including their mutual support for candidacies to various United Nations bodies. 

Deputy Minister Hemachandra briefed Betsa on recent developments in Sri Lanka and expressed the nation's interest in fostering closer ties.
