Police arrested the main suspect in the murder of political activist Dan Priyasad.

According to Police, the 52-year-old Webada resident, who was arrested in Kurunduwatta, is also a suspect in the earlier murder of Dan Priyasad’s brother.

Police also revealed that another suspect, arrested on 24 April in connection with Priyasad’s killing, is currently in remand custody.

Dan Priyasad was a victim of a shooting incident at an apartment building in Salamulla, Wellampitiya, on 22 April. He succumbed to his injuries while being treated at the National Hospital Colombo. 

Further investigations are underway.
