Minister of Transport and Urban Development Bimal Rathnayake has inspected the proposed site for the new multi-purpose logistics and warehousing centre in Veyangoda, Gampaha.
The project aims to reduce delays and damages in goods transportation and is part of the President’s budget proposals and the Ministry’s sustainable transport development strategy to enhance freight efficiency.
During his visit yesterday (28), Minister Rathnayake reviewed the allocated land for the centre, which will serve as a key logistics hub under the government’s national transport modernization program to boost import-export operations.
