The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has ordered that the case against Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Venerable Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero be called again on 25 February 2027.

Gnanasara Thero, who is currently serving a nine-month prison sentence, was produced before court today (7) wearing civilian clothing.

His attorney stated that an appeal against the prison sentence had already been filed with the Supreme Court and requested that the sentence be stayed until a decision is reached.
