A 38-year-old man has been arrested in the Kandaliyadda Paluwa area of Ganemulla while transporting 6.288 kg of crystal methamphetamine (‘Ice’), police said.

The arrest was made by the Special Task Force (STF) during a raid based on intelligence received.

Police estimate the drugs to be worth over Rs.100mn and say cash, an electronic scale and the three-wheeler used for transport were also seized.

The suspect has been handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations.
