Sri Lanka has surpassed two million foreign tourist arrivals for 2025, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) announced.
The milestone was reached on Monday with the arrival of a British couple, marking a significant boost for the recovering tourism industry.
According to SLTDA, arrivals have steadily increased due to improved flight connectivity, global promotions, and strong interest from key markets including India, the UK, China, and Germany.
Tourism remains one of the country’s leading foreign-exchange earners, and officials anticipate further growth during the upcoming winter peak season.
