The General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, Member of Parliament Duminda Dissanayake said: “The path to success of pohottuwa has been destroyed – we did not do it, they themselves crashed it. That is why a large number of Parliamentarians in pohottuwa have joined the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. How many people are going to be left in pohottuwa? All the others will join hands with the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and start doing politics.

He stated this while addressing a group of Sri Lanka Freedom Party division candidates and party workers in the Anuradhapura West. The meeting was organised by Anuradhapura West Organiser Sarath Weerasinghe. Sri Lanka Freedom Party Mihintale Organiser and former Provincial Council Minister Sarath Ilangasinghe, Anuradhapura East Organiser, former Mayor H.P. Somadasa and many former local government representatives, Divisional Candidates and party activists participated in this meeting.
