The Colombo High Court has postponed the case against former Minister Duminda Dissanayake and Kazakh national Aigul Sheragasina over the recovery of a gold-plated firearm.

The case was postponed until 4 November for pre-trial conferences after the defence President’s Counsel was unable to appear.

The Attorney General has filed indictments over alleged possession of an unlicensed firearm and aiding and abetting its possession at Havelock City, Wellawatte, on 20 May 2025.
