Residents of La Serena retirement resort marked the Sinhala and Tamil New Year with Avurudu celebrations held at the beachfront facility.
The event brought together 30 residents across 26 units, who took part in traditional Avurudu rituals and games. The activities provided an opportunity for residents to engage with one another and observe customary practices associated with the New Year.
The celebrations reflected the social environment within the resort, with residents participating in group activities organised for the occasion.
