Dengue cases rise in disaster-hit areas

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has reported an increase in dengue cases in areas recently affected by disasters. 


Acting Director of the National Dengue Control Unit, Dr. Kapila Kannangara, noted that Gampaha and Kandy districts are recording the highest numbers. 


So far, 2,170 patients have been reported this year, with dengue risks identified in 41 Medical Officer of Health divisions nationwide.
