The Vatican has officially declared the victims of the Easter Sunday bombings as “Heroes of Faith,” the Archdiocese of Colombo announced.

Spokesman Fr. Cyril Gamini Fernando stated that this recognition marks the first step toward formally naming the victims as martyrs.
