Minister of Irrigation and Conservation of Wildlife and Forest Resources Pavithra Wanniarachchi has expressed support to independent candidate President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the upcoming presidential elections.

She stated that she reached this decision based on the requests of the majority of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) members and supporters in the Ratnapura district.
