The Cabinet has approved a proposal presented by Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, in her capacity as Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, to implement the digital transformation project of the University of Kelaniya.

The project aims to digitalise all major academic and administrative functions within two years.

It is expected to improve service delivery, attract more students, and strengthen financial sustainability.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 476 million, to be implemented under the public investment programme.
