Wijayapala Maha Vidyalaya, Harasgama in Matale amassed a record score of 496 runs for seven wickets against Sinhala Buddhist College Matale in their SLSCA under 17 division 3 limited overs cricket match played at the St. Thomas' college ground in Matale on Wednesday. 

This massive score came on the back of Binul Wedisinghe who top scored with 252 off 150 balls inclusive of 41 boundaries and nine sixes. Akash Ratnayake provided support with a quick fire 80. 

The opponents, in their run chase were given the target of 430 runs in 37 overs to win under the parabola method. Gangana Ellepola bagged 6 while Binul Wedisinghe bagged 2 wickets to bowl out Buddhist College for a total of 8 runs in 8.2 overs to win by 422 runs victory.
