Yesterday (11) was the final day of the historic encounter. DSS won first innings honours but Mahanama fought valiantly in the reply by setting a target to force a result.
Mahanama College, having won the toss, elected to bat first, posting a total of 235 in their first innings. Thaviru Perera led the charge for Mahanama with a resilient 77, while Gimantha Dissanayake contributed a valuable 56. D.S. Senanayake's Shanel Binushka proved to be the most effective bowler, claiming 5 wickets for 65 runs. Dilash Kumaranayake also chipped in with 2 crucial wickets.D.S.
