The Palestinian Ambassador to Sri Lanka Hisham Abu Taha met with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (10).
During the meeting, Ambassador Abu Taha extended his congratulations to President Dissanayake on his recent election victory, conveying best wishes on behalf of the Government and people of Palestine.
He emphasised that Palestine looks forward to Sri Lanka's continued friendship and solidarity in the future and urged President Dissanayake to take steps to ease the visa obstacles faced by Palestinians.
The meeting underscored the strong relationship between Sri Lanka and Palestine, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to further enhancing bilateral cooperation.
