Nestlé Nestomalt recently partnered with the Ministry of Education to organise the All-Island School Games 2023 Marathon. The event concluded successfully yesterday (11) in Galle, marking the completion of an integral part of this year’s All-Island School Games.
The much-awaited fixture powered by Nestlé Nestomalt witnessed the participation of top school athletes from across the island. Over 300 runners from all nine provinces took part in a half marathon (21 km) while a display marathon (5 km) was held with 1,400 participants.
Staying true to its promise of ‘powering progress’ by inspiring Sri Lankans to lead a healthy and active lifestyle, Nestlé’s flagship brand has been a part of Sri Lanka’s biggest marathons for over 35 years.
“As a brand that is truly Sri Lankan, we are proud to energise Sri Lanka’s talented young athletes through our support towards events such as the All-Island School Games Marathon. It gives us immense pleasure to work with the Ministry of Education to co-create a forum where young athletes are given the opportunity to kickstart their sporting career. We will continue on our journey of making a positive change in families and communities across generations by being a part of similar events for years to come,” said Nestlé Lanka Director – Dairy Ruwan Welikala.
Through endeavours of this nature, Nestlé Nestomalt intends to continue its journey of powering the progress of aspiring young athletes and providing a positive start to their sporting career.
