Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya has emphasised the importance of aesthetic education in developing not only talented artists but also professionals with empathy, creativity and a strong sense of humanity.

She made the remarks at the opening of Galle Bataduwa Sri Rathanajothi Vidyalaya, a specialised school offering all aesthetic subjects to identify and nurture the artistic talents of children in the Southern Province.

The Prime Minister stated that the Government aims to develop a generation capable of contributing to society across diverse fields, including medicine and engineering.
