Former State Intelligence Service (SIS) Director, retired Major General Suresh Sallay, has been produced before the Colombo Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar to give evidence in the case concerning the abduction and enforced disappearance of journalist Prageeth Ekneligoda.

Sallay was brought before the court by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
