The Department of Meteorology has warned that warm weather conditions will continue across Sri Lanka until May.

Additional Director General Ajith Wijemanne stated that high temperatures are expected through April and May, with peak heat between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Conditions are expected to ease with the onset of the Southwest Monsoon in late May.
