Former Minister Johnston Fernando was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

He arrived at the CID this morning (23) to provide a statement regarding the unregistered luxury car, allegedly belonging to him, which was found parked at a star-class hotel in Colombo.

The Colombo High Court (HC) had also issued an arrest warrant on the former Minister today, for failing to appear before the court over a case against him for allegedly involving Sathosa employees in election work from 2010 to 2014.
