Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts and Walkers Tours have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC SL), formalising a partnership that aligns the two travel brands with the country’s national sporting body.
Under the agreement, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts has been appointed Official Hospitality Partner to NOC SL, while Walkers Tours will serve as Official Transportation Partner. The partnership aims to support international teams, officials and Olympic-affiliated delegations visiting Sri Lanka through coordinated accommodation and transport services.
The agreement comes at a time when destinations across Asia are competing to host tournaments, training camps and multi-sport events, with accommodation and transport infrastructure playing a key role in securing such opportunities.
Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts will offer preferential accommodation rates to delegations visiting through NOC SL and provide hosting arrangements for official functions, subject to availability. Selected properties will also be made available for press conferences and related activities conducted in line with Olympic protocols.
Walkers Tours will be responsible for transportation and destination management services, including logistical support and discounted rates for visiting teams and officials. The company will also support major sporting engagements facilitated by NOC SL.

Beyond operations, the partnership includes joint promotional and media initiatives aimed at positioning Sri Lanka as a viable destination for international sporting events and athlete travel. Cinnamon will receive acknowledgment across the NOC SL’s official communications, including digital platforms and event publications.
