The Paddy Marketing Board has purchased 45,362 metric tonnes of paddy under the Government’s paddy purchasing programme for the 2026 Yala season.

Cabinet Spokesman Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa stated that the purchases have been made under the Government’s programme to purchase paddy from farmers.
