Sri Lanka has reported more than 62,000 dengue cases so far this year, according to the National Dengue Control Unit.
Acting Director Dr. Kapila Kannangara stated that 7,038 cases were recorded in July alone, with the Western Province accounting for 52.4% of all reported infections.
Colombo has reported the highest number of cases at 12,663, followed by Gampaha with 12,582 and Kalutara with 4,191
