President Anura Kumara Dissanayake visited Vietnam’s Bai Dinh Pagoda yesterday (4) receiving blessings and a warm welcome from locals waving Sri Lankan and Vietnamese flags.

At the main shrine, monks chanted Seth Pirith and blessed the President. 

He also paid respects to a Sri Maha Bodhi sapling gifted by Sri Lanka in 2023 and officially opened the protective wall built with Sri Lankan expertise.

President Dissanayake later planted a sacred Sal tree sapling and presented a memento to the temple’s Chief Incumbent. 

Minister Vijitha Herath and other officials joined the visit.
