A total of 97,637 dengue cases have been reported in Sri Lanka so far this year, with 74 deaths recorded, according to the National Dengue Control Unit.

The Unit stated that 2,146 cases were reported during the first 13 days of September.

Gampaha has recorded the highest number of cases this year with 20,742, followed by Colombo with 19,235.

Kandy and Kalutara have recorded 7,291 and 6,247 cases, respectively.
