Former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa has been returned to prison after being taken to the Colombo National Eye Hospital for a specialist examination today (9).

Prison officials took her to the hospital following a referral by a prison medical specialist on 8 October over an eye condition.

She was examined by a specialist before being taken back into prison custody.
