Speaker. Jagath Wickramaratne announced in Parliament today (20) that an 11-member Special Parliamentary Select Committee has been appointed to investigate and recommend an appropriate electoral system for Provincial Council elections. 

The committee, chaired by Minister Vijitha Herath, will also submit relevant proposals and recommendations.
