The Paddy Marketing Board will commence purchasing paddy from tomorrow (3) in key districts, including Ampara, Kilinochchi, and Batticaloa.
The Government has allocated Rs. 600 million for the Yala season.
Fixed prices are set at Rs. 120/kg for Nadu, Rs. 125/kg for Samba, and Rs. 132/kg for Keeri Samba.
Wet paddy rates are also announced, though farmers are urged to dry paddy before delivery due to storage limitations.
