The Court of Appeal of Sri Lanka has postponed the hearing of a petition filed by former Minister Nalin Fernando regarding the “Carrom Boards” case.

The case was taken up today (18) before Justices P. Kumararatnam and Pradeep Hettiarachchi and will be called again on 25 June.

Fernando, currently serving a prison sentence, is seeking to dismiss an indictment filed by the Attorney General over the same allegations.

The case relates to claims of distributing carrom and checker boards through Lanka Sathosa during the 2015 presidential election campaign.
