Former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, his son Ramith, daughter Amali Nayanika, and an employee Nipuni Krishnajina were served indictments by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) at the Colombo High Court in two separate corruption cases.

The defendants were released on Rs. 50,000 cash bail each with two sureties of Rs. 1 million and subjected to a travel ban.

Pre-trial conferences are scheduled for 12, 14, and 20 January 2026.

The Bribery Commission alleges that the family illegally acquired assets worth over Rs. 97 million during Rambukwella’s tenure in the Ministries of Mass Media, Health, and Environment between August 2020 and June 2024.
