Eleven persons were injured in a collision between a private bus and a Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus in Nalanda, Naula today(26)morning.

The injured were admitted to Nalanda Regional Hospital and Matale Hospital, with one reported in critical condition.

Police arrested the private bus driver, while the SLTB driver fled the scene.

Speaker of Parliament Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne assisted in rescuing the injured, according to reports.

Naula Police are conducting further investigations.
