The Cabinet has approved the issuance of a new circular governing Grade 1 admissions to government schools from 2027 onwards.

The revised circular aims to ensure equal access to education, improve transparency, and minimise irregularities.

It was prepared after considering recommendations from the Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption, the Human Rights Commission, education authorities, and in line with upcoming education reforms.
