The Sri Lanka Labour Welfare Fund, established in 1998 to support private and semi-government employees, is set for dissolution by 30 June 2026, following a Government review. 

The Cabinet approved plans to phase out the fund’s services not covered by other institutions, ensuring continued support for workers through the Ministry of Labour.
