The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) has been reaccredited with “A” status by the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI).
According to the HRCSL, the re-accreditation process commenced in September, last year (2023) when the HRCSL submitted its application.
This was followed by a virtual interview conducted by the GANHRI Sub-committee on Accreditation (SCA) on 2 May. After a thorough review, the SCA announced on 9 May that the HRCSL would maintain its "A" status.
