Sri Lanka Railways has introduced special train services from 9 to 13 May to manage the Vesak and long weekend travel rush. 

The additional trains will run between Colombo Fort–Badulla and Colombo Fort–Kankesanthurai, including Vesak Night and Morning Specials, and Intercity Express trains for passenger convenience.
