Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) held discussions with explosive licensees to address challenges affecting the explosives sector.

The discussions covered issues related to storage, transportation, supply chains, expired explosives and quality testing.

The Defence Secretary instructed relevant officials to take follow-up action on the concerns raised by the licensees.
