Double Olympian Matthew Abeysinghe and Budapest-based Olympian Ganga Senevirathne will represent Sri Lanka at the World Aquatic Short Course Swimming Championships in Budapest from 10 to 15 December.

Abeysinghe will compete in the Men’s 50m and 100m Freestyle, while Senevirathne will swim in the Women’s 50m and 100m Backstroke. 

The Sri Lankan team was initially planned as four swimmers, but late withdrawals left Abeysinghe and Senevirathne as the country’s sole competitors.
