The Supreme Court has ruled that former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon and two others violated the fundamental rights of Public Security Ministry Secretary Ravi Seneviratne and CID Deputy Inspector General Shani Abeysekara.

The ruling relates to an investigation into a complaint concerning the Easter Sunday terror attacks during the previous presidential election period.
