Showers will occur at times in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts today (26), according to the Department of Meteorology.

Showers or thundershowers are also expected at a few places in Uva Province and in the Batticaloa and Ampara districts after 2.00 p.m.

The public has been advised to take precautions against temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
