President Anura Kumara Dissanayake met with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Tô Lâm, in Hanoi today (4) during his state visit.

The visit, held at the invitation of Vietnamese President Luong Cuong, includes participation in the 20th United Nations Day of Vesak Celebrations.

The Sri Lankan delegation arrived earlier in the day and was warmly received by senior Vietnamese officials.

President Dissanayake’s 3-day visit will feature high-level talks and the signing of key cooperation agreements across political, economic, and cultural sectors.

He is also scheduled to meet the Vietnamese President and Prime Minister during the visit.
