Sri Lanka has expressed solidarity with Indonesia following a magnitude 7.7 earthquake and aftershocks off Flores Island.

At least 51 people have died and more than 100 have been injured, while thousands have been displaced, according to reports.

Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath expressed condolences to the Indonesian Government and people and wished those injured a speedy recovery.

He also commended the ongoing rescue and relief efforts and expressed concern for those still missing.
