Buddhist Affairs Dept. directs use of yellow flags for dansal promotions

The Department of Buddhist Affairs has directed organisers to use yellow flags instead of Buddhist flags to guide the public to dansal events.

Commissioner Asela Madusanka said the instruction was issued through a circular with Cabinet approval.

District and Divisional Secretaries, Buddhist organisations and the Inspector General of Police have been informed.

The circular also includes guidelines to regulate practices linked to religious observances.
